The simple fact is you only have to
read the title to be alarmed and this is what most
People have an objection to if I understand their
posts correctly
Why should Australians be alarmed, the incident occurred 8000 miles away, and I knew immediately what the TGSE was referring to..........
This is the OP:
At least there haven't been any casualties - yet.
What part of that don't you understand?

1. Opmania is specifying the thread title, as alarming. Correct.
No casualties, yet, is NOT in the thread title.
2. Why would Australians be alarmed?
Another "terrorist attack", is alarming for many reasons, including, empathy for innocent victims, whoever and wherever they are.
Concern for friends, and loved ones, in the U.S., more specifically, for some of us, too.

Are you saying that FBI has warped perception of what terrorist act is? LOL

there have been many deadly
terrorist attacks not only in the
US. of course people would feel
anxious when they read there was
another one. its a global threat.
if you read the thread, there are ppl
who have family or friends overseas.
At least there haven't been any casualties - yet.

Why should Australians be alarmed?
Are you serious?
Horrified would be another word
for it
Don't think for one second that
Australians never shed a tear for
the 9/11 victims, The French, what's going on
In Europe , many many incidents around
The world and there will be many more.
And don't even think that the people on here who
Express concerns about Islam , don't shed a tear for
innocent Muslims caught up in this treachery.
Don't think that because people are 8000 miles away
That they are ignorant of the facts because some people
Are very much aware that there are two sides to every coin
And know how ludicrous it is to believe that there is only one

you may have known what it was
about but why do you think some
posters thought the OP posted the
wrong link? because they expected
to read about another terrorist attack
in the US.

No what I am saying is the
Link that you gave is to a very one sided
Publication

There are many facts you can
Find to substantiate both sides of
An argument on google, either in most cases
Is just another persons interpretation of the situation.

Well, would you discuss the points made by this publication that you think are not accurate?

One poster complained that the title of this thread was 'clickbait'. Of course it was. Most titles are clickbait - just like newspaper headlines. They are are meant to pique your interest and encourage you to open the thread. If on opening the thread, you discover it does not tally with your preconceived idea of what it was going to be about, then, hopefully you will start asking yourself a few questions: is the OP a valid comment? do I agree with it or not? Why did I assume it was going to be about something else. Was my assumption valid or was it simply a conditioned response? If it was simply a conditioned response, should I possibly be thinking a bit more laterally and broadening my horizens?
I believe this incident in Oregon was an act of terrorism and I explained my reasons for this belief, i.e: it was unlawful, the perpetrators were armed, threats were made and others were called on to take up arms and join the fight.
Several pople have disagred with me but, so far, very few of them people have put forward any cogent reasons as to why they believe it was not an act of terrorism. Criticising me for having an 'agenda' or posting a misleading title may be justified and may assuage your indignation but it adds nothing constructive to the discussion.
Does this incident qualify as an act of terrorism, and if not, why not?
