Well I am still grinning, went out tonight - the mood out and about was wonderful, smiling, laughing, happy people. Firies were particularly cheerful as were the PSA, the nurses were very upbeat, so were the teachers. Actually everyone was happy. Thanks barry.

That's the same kind of reasoning abbott just used.
He has absolute admiration for Barry, calls him a man of high integrity and honour, blather blather... Innocent...etc
And this is how he describes a colleague who misleads the ICAC and accepted corrupt gifts from corrupt people. It must be normal behaviour for all Libs.
Cromulently put,Tony.I couldn't have said it better."A noble deed embiggens the smallest man",

Faulty O'Farrell's scandalous premiership
Barry O'Farrell was rolled out of the NSW premiership today, yet according to his colleagues he was more honest than Gandhi and his Government as pure as driven snow. Peter Wicks from Wixxyleaks corrects the record.
Barry OโFarrell had run a campaign based around allegations of Labor Party corruption and scandal.
In his own words, Barry promised voters a government that was โscandal freeโ.
What a lie that turned out to be.
In the short time OโFarrell has been Premier there has been almost more scandals and scandal prone ministers than you can count.
Some of these include:
On top of that, we have seen three NSW Liberal Party MPโs forced to stand down after ICAC hearings and raids โ one of those being Chris Hartcher, a front bench Minister.
It is not often that we see a premier forced out of office due to ICAC findings; the last time it happened was back in 1992, when another Liberal Party Premier, Nick Greiner, fell on his sword.
What is probably even worse than that empty chair is the idea of Mike Baird becoming Premier โ which seems highly likely.
For those interstaters who donโt know Baird, he is the NSW Treasurer that despite inheriting a surplus and landing his job after the Global Financial Crisis was over, has delivered nothing but deficits in the hob. He is also infamous as being the Treasurer who lost a $1 billion.
Just as well thereโs an election next March.

I agree Karen, in Vicoria our's is IBAC and on Tuesday they complained after one year in operation that they were not able to take any action due to not having enough power to do so.
just after hearing what happened in NSW Dennis Napthine said he would follow IBAC's reccommendations

Correct me if I am wrong, but in the back of my mind is.....Baird was the one that pushed to have Girolama appointed head of AWH against the advice of his colleagues.

freshwater, I think you're right, he was the one who had the list about appointing Girolama to the ports then ultimately signed off on the job on the board with the water board

well thats a good thing. he'll enter the job pre-tainted..
