Hi Bella 🙂 thats not to say people with high IQ's cant be racist, homophobic etc.....but we are breeding stupid people. we can thank Labor and the baby bonus for that- 300,000 babies in a year- and where I live we have the youngest mothers in Oz- these kids are not going to grow up and be productive members of society, they're already bleeding the system and a lot of times are 2nd and 3rd generation welfarers. no cancer cures there.
Right wingers are dumber and more racist.
its true.

Meep, I agree and that's true.... that noted we may see many more long c&p's :^O
Thanks Cats Back, if ever I take up debating I will remember not to double up.

What people vote for and their views tend to be different. While wealthy people generally have a higher IQ due to better education etc. they still vote Republican so they can get their tax cuts and other benefits they give to the wealthy.
A person's level of education has nothing whatsoever to do with their IQ.
Two completely different issues.

Iza, you do know that article that you reference also references back to that very same article that the op's references back too???
You are all finding different ways to refer back to the very same article and have the same debate..... so that now makes four references back to the same article.. all with the exact same argument...
how exciting and entertaining.
I wish some people had the IQ to look into the article and make sure they are not just going around in circles.
The articles refer to research. One study from the 70s and one from 2012.
The articles are about the research.

we can thank Labor and the baby bonus for that-
would that be the baby bonus of Peter Costello?

Although, if they are not adequately literate they might fail the IQ test based on their lack of ability to read, comprehend and provide written answers to the questions within the allowed time.

They're all responsible for bits of baby bonus.
I think Keating may have introduced a small one (hundreds) which was then replaced by a rather large (thousands) one by Costello.
I'm not against it and I do agree with reducing it for second and there after babies.
I also have no problem with reducing the base amount to divert funds to Gonski reform or NDIS.
