Anybody want to talk about Shorten's parlous state

Bill Shorten has crawled to PM Turnbull with a few options for unions to mitigate the damage to himself when the Royal Commission releases it's findings.

What is wrong with this picture?

Why didn't he act on the corruption before this? is he only going to act on it now to save his own skin?

If Trump becomes president then I predict that  within a few years America will be in more danger from its own downtrodden  citizens than from any terrorist threat. And that would be a very parlous situation for the whole world.

I think the likelihood of ISIS invading either America or Australia in the foreseeable futureis a fairly remote possibility - they appear  have their hands pretty full at the moment just  trying to hold on to the territories they once controlled in Iraq and Syria.

Sporadic acts of  terrorism   are another matter of course, but such events are not  contingent  upon which President or political party (or PM) happens to be in office at the time .  (hint: 9/11; George W Bush; Republican.)
