My friend had one about 2 weeks ago. Not only did she have a tummy tuck, she also had her breasts enlarged, a neck lift, lipo, and a brow lift. I took her to the doctors office at 6 am, and I picked her up at 4 pm. She didn't stay overnight at the hospital. She has two drains on her stomach, that need to be emptied a few times per day. Her belly button was cut off with the extra skin, so they gave her a new belly button. She can't really drive on her own yet, as the pain meds make her a bit loopy. She is walking around, and doing things around the house though. She is only 46 years old, and I was a little bit shocked that she did all of that stuff. She looks really good though.
I have another friend who had the tummy tuck about 10 years ago. She had some problems in the area where the drain tubes were inserted. It took a long time for that area to heal. Other than that, she was thrilled with the results.

I've tucked a lot into my tummy over the years.....3 kids and quite a bit of food and drink - does this count?

No, me neither; every time I started to think my tummy looks bit flabby, I started to do some tummy crunches every day. I found that it is one area that responds quite quickly to exercise.

after a radical hysterectomy and the repair from incisional hernias? i LIKE my tummy! it's reasonably flat, and the scars are still low enough for a highline tankini bottom! i'm happy i got the repairs done, but i'll NEVER take that kind of risk just for vanity.
never had a concave belly anyway, lol!

A friend had one a few years ago, she unfortunately got an infection and spent a further month in hospital with drains and iv antibiotics.
She is happy with the result but regrets what she went through to get it, her marriage broke down during her 18 month convalescence.
