fiesta,if you do decide to do this, please remember this. incisional hernias do happen. in some cases becuase we overdo after surgery, but also in cases like mine, where not only were the stitches too tight, but the staples were left in too long, and that pinched the incision,so it didn't heal properly.
all it took was catching a chest cold 3 months after my hysterectomy, the coughing was too much for my scar, and i ended up with a hernia. it took 2 years before i could have it repaired,as we didn't have insurance until then.
now,i believe y'all have a much better system to help people with health issues, but we didn't until recently(thank you,mr. president!),so i'm sure you wouldn't have to wait so long.
just keep that in mind. you'll want to avoid lifting, and be careful about catching cold,or allergies, take your allergy meds if you need them, sneezing can cause this issue too!!
honestly,i'm not trying to be " debbie downer",i just want to make sure you understand(as some others have too) what CAN happen, anytime you have invasive surgery. please think about that.

my sister had it done and also a muscle repair as well.
She had a LOT of pain after, was in hospital for only 2 days. Was suppose to be on COMPLETE rest for i think 4 weeks? (yeah right 3 kids, one was in hospital in ICU) she also had to wear a god awful support that held everything in place but that could have been more for the muscle repair than the actual tuck.
The scar is huge but minimal and below the undie line. They moved her belly button too. Her tummy at 43 is flat and gorgeous after 3 kids but she also has a very good diet and is very fit and active.
She regrets nothing and it has helped enormously with her self confidence

pimpy i luurvvv you!!
so, this is where i am at, I am not a stranger to invasive surgery, had it a few times, but the pain factor bothers me more now than ever before. my kids are adults so i dont need to be picking up after anyone, just my gorgeous pooch Bella the wonder Chihuahua
you are right about the quote, tho i have a certain price in mind that i would be rpepared to pay, as long as the quote comes in under that, no worries and i think my' price' is consistent with market averages...
so we will see, and i really appreciate the diferent views and experiences....

MY SIL's siter had it done some years ago.
The scarring was impressive, and she had to wear some corset thingy for ages. I don't remember what she said about the pain. I She was quite a large lady before the op. and recently divorced so it was morale booster for her and she was happy with the result.

I talked to my GF today. She had this done on July 16. She is now driving herself to her doc appt.
Last Friday, they took the drains out. She has an infection, and some redness in that area. She did too much after the surgery. She is still doing too much. She is packing to go camping with her family this week-end. I think she is taking a big risk.
She is still really happy with the results, although she is retaining some fluids, so her stomach isn't as flat as she would like it. That will go down in time.
Go for it, but take it easy for a few months. That is my recommendation. I think the Tummy tuck alone is about 5k here. She had so much other work done, they gave her a discount.

wow,
well i got my quote 13k...a bit more than i was hoping for but doable....and do i will.....thatmincludes a bit of lipo to sculpture the tummy a bit, i dont csre about that, but this guy does it as part of his surgery
