ash, if you google seat saver sofa...theres a few options there, including a product called 'furniture fix' which seem to be panels that interlock..though pretty cheap, the reviews for this type of thing are rubbish..the kind of thing thats advertised on tv at 3 am.. lol

Depending on the sag and construction of the lounge, I would be using plywood, as it has a certain amount of give, or upholstery webbing (also used as straps for bags)..sold here..
