Following on from other events like the fall in interest rates, high unemployment and Australians high debt.
Rumors within the investment community believe the AU$ is about to fall.
I personally believe its about to trip over and fall on its sword.
So many will say that's just being negative, I say it will happen and it will be sooner than most think 1 to 6 months and the $$ will be falling.
The net effect of this will be that prices will rocket up as so much in now imported.

Rumors within the investment community believe the AU$ is about to fall.
When is it predicted to fall?
How much is it predicted to fall by?
...... the US Fed is printing money to the tune of $US85 billion a month and this is negative for its currency,” he says.
.....Mr Gore [Go Markets currency strategist] doesn’t see any extreme moves to the downside for the Aussie dollar.
“Maybe by late 2013, it will come under pressure and dip below parity. If the US dollar strengthens, this will have an effect on QE expectations – that is the Fed may start unwinding its stimulatory efforts and this will be positive for the US dollar.”
He says the Aussie is generally in the hands of the US economy.
“As the US economy improves, it is a sign that the Fed won’t be in the market forever.
“At the moment the status quo is being maintained. If you look at the price range, we have adhered to the same range since July 2012, despite testing the upper and lower ranges.
“I don’t see a catalyst for an extreme fall,” he says.

Much as I appreciate the savings I currently get when I buy from overseas, for the sake of the economy i really hope you are right, Hawk. The high dollar is a poisoned chalice.
