We had a space agency, it was huge, it empolyed tens of thousands. Long Range Weapons Establishment, became Weapons Reasearch Establishment, became Defence Science Technology Dept, became Defence Reasearch Center....each one smaller than the previous.
the politicians removed funding from it until it pretty much dissapeared! all that Knowledge lost over the years.
i worked there! we were launching australian built satelites!
ALL GONE!
NOW they say we NEED a space agency!
