The CSIRO report's predictions of the future give three examples of how broadband connected homes will impact on the way people live: people will control their home devices through a central hub that is connected to the cloud; a combination of motion detectors and smart appliances will monitor the elderly in their home; and social TVs will recommend what we watch based on what our social media mates are currently watching.

So, he who controls the internet and The Cloud controls our homes, watches us and tells us that brain washing we should watch.

Big Brother already watches us, traces us, knows where we are, and we're already told what we should watch on tv, what we should buy, what we should wear. etc

I was listening to the radio.. yes again... and they were talking about people getting cheaper electricity if they allow the the companies to control their appliances. Things  like the washing machine, dishwasher, air conditioning... 

it will cost you more to have the right appliance and you will have no say over what times... but you will get to opt in... 

I say no thanks... you want us to have "green power" that cannot generate enough power to supply everyone and then want to control when we wash our clothes or keep cool? 

Green power is a waste of money... it will never be able to supply all of us with power... figure out a way to produce cheap and clean electricity with coal.. that is our best option...

I would generally not be the slightest bit interested in viewing what the only social media mates(?) group that I have knowledge of watch!
