I was approached by a beggars this morning outside the local Woolworth's store. I had just finished my shopping when is male came over to me and asked if I could give him some change I replied that I don't carry cash on me I only use plastic. He then replied "Well you can go to the ATM and get me $20"
Me "No I can't"

I have never, ever, been asked for money...or cigarettes..... or anything.....
Where is this beggar free haven?
I don't smoke so don't have cigarettes or a lighter on me but the way some fly off the handle when I so no to them asking for cigs or a light you would think my clothes were made of cigarettes and my jewellery made of cigarette lighters. They swear like crazed people.

I am in Queensland..... not sure it's a haven..... maybe I just don't notice? but surely I would notice someone speaking to me :^O
My biggest bug bear is people who swear...... not at me but to each other in normal conversation.......

Took out their complete display and card table -with the trolley on
the way out..............................Richo.

I always put my sunglasses on if I think I might bump into any rickety furniture on the way out and only ever respond with "Eh?"

The worst--beggars at woolies are the ones inside.
Card table and leaflets-----some greenies with attitude.
Have permission from management too be there.
Rule i believe is if you make eye contact-they can give you a speel.
Anyone else been confronted by these thugs?.............Richo.
All the time.. And the ones who talk to you as if they know you "Hey how are you?"
And the ones selling AUSTAR, the Pixie photo people, various charities.. The only time I give money to fundraising is when Woolies is doing a sausage sizzle

Nuisances and imposters at times probably,
thugs may be somewhat over the top and an example of your PA nature.
This time I am not interested in a message discussion.

Right outside the door as you enter/exit the supermarket is the worst.
I understand charity's are needed, but I am certain they park themselves there almost as if to say 'You can afford to buy food, so give some money to us'.

Do we count 'beggers' as the cancer council people trying to get you to sign up to donate monthly?
Or the Royal life saving people doing the same thing?
