If the horrific murder of two Australians is carried out then we should boycott Bali and all things Indonesian.
We gave over a $billion dollars to this country after the tsunami, we prop then up with foreign aid and they spit in our faces.
They have ignored all diplomatic attempts to mitigate their sentences and Watta a Joko has now signed the order to send them to the "killing Island" wouldn't want to kill them on Bali now would they, might upset the tourism business.
I'm appalled and disgusted, scared and frightened for these men and heartsick for their families.

Which peaceful religion do these states follow? Should we boycott them as well - or is it only murder if they execute Australians?

@daydream**believer wrote:i wouldnt go to Bali or Indonesia even if you paid me but im totally fine with these heroin smuggling ringleaders to be executed.
I wish theyd get it over and done with and stop stalling cause im sick of hearing the rubbish "Ohhh they have been rehabilitated", "they are good kids"....blah blah blah
Yeh, rehabilitated cause they got caught and their lawyers told them to behave and they might not get executed.
If they hadnt been caught do you think they would of stopped smuggling heroin?
No flippen way
Why does everyone suddenly care about who Indonesia executes anyway?
A couple of weeks ago 6 other prisoners were executed. What was their crime? Who were they? Where were they from?
The media didnt care about their executions
I don't know if you are male or female, but the words of that post are very cold. Hard to stomach.

What is wrong with firing squad.
I would prefer it far more than being hanged.
At least shooting is almost instantaneous.
Get a life Vic.
No matter how the deed is done - one has to spend time contemplating - your own death.
You have sparked at 'uniform' - been everywhere - done everything.
The initial idea of 'firing squad' was to look into the eyes of those that are judging you - those that knew or thought you had let them down - at the very least - take a look at the concept of 'firing squad'.
You gone on about 'honour'.
There is none here.
These guys - haven't been judged by their peers - and been found to be wanting by their peers - yet they are going to face a 'firing squad'.
And to be quite honest with you - I don't give a 'flying' ? - about - what you would prefer or not prefer.

This has nothing to do with honor.
They did a crime they knew what the punishment was before they did it.
If they are smart enough to deal in drugs internationally, they are smart enough to read the signs and know the laws of that country.
It doesn't worry me that you don't give a FF, I was commenting on what is the best of a bad lot and hanging is not that nice a way to go IMHO comepared to the other options of how you would die - firing squad, injection etc.

Vic, learn to read - before taking the leap.
I expressed all the arguments.
I was just venting on the method of 'DEATH'.
Forgive me - Richo did comment - 1000 or more - in a very short space of time.
Think - consider - then give an answer.
Take another look at what I stated & what you followed with
An early night perhaps.

you need to look at this in context though - these states only give the death penalty for the premeditated taking of another life in a heinous manner (plus the odd innocent or two).
I'm not pro death penalty, I think life in a cage where they can regret their crime every day is a far better punishment, but to me bumping off a murderer sits better than bumping off a drug runner.

is this a serious conversation?
they recuited the other 7.
they were well aware of the punishment. not only did they risk their own lives they risked the lives of the other 7. that is before you take into account all the drug users who may have bought a hit from this smuggled drugs.
they have changed? right.
just what will they teach other inmates in prison? how to be a better smuggler.
