If the horrific murder of two Australians is carried out then we should boycott Bali and all things Indonesian.
We gave over a $billion dollars to this country after the tsunami, we prop then up with foreign aid and they spit in our faces.
They have ignored all diplomatic attempts to mitigate their sentences and Watta a Joko has now signed the order to send them to the "killing Island" wouldn't want to kill them on Bali now would they, might upset the tourism business.
I'm appalled and disgusted, scared and frightened for these men and heartsick for their families.

And talking about USA? I am addressing the impending death of TWO AUSTRALIANS facing the firing squad.
This is not an Abbott hate thread tho I'm sure you all know that as well.
Try to curb your appalling bias and address the topic.
No...... just by one poster who would like to allow millions of Indonesias to suffer (by withdrawing aid),
for the sake of two Australian crims.

Tell me Idle....... can you identify Indonesia on a map?.......genuine question.

If it is not a political issue then why is Julie Bishop getting involved and Abbott meddling and putting his foot in it?

I am as vehemently opposed to the death penalty as you say you are. However I suspect our motivation, in this case anyway, are somewhat different.

Talk about over inflated defence of a country that by its own actions is corrupt and rotten at the top.
Millions of people will SUFFER?
not as much as the 2 condemned men and their families.
So you would rather we continue to pump millions into a country which cares little for its own people and less for other counties people.
We can see where your loyalties lie and it's not a reassuring sight, kill them what do you care.

How else would you expect countries to communicate with each other over any issue if not at Government level?
The last time I looked governemnts are made up of political parties.

I was actually replying to a previous comment, I failed to make that clear. "This is not an Abbott hate thread tho I'm sure you all know that as well."
I do agree with your comment. It is how the Govt communicates that is the issue here, Abbott did more harm than good.

Angry Indonesians comparing Abbott to Shylock. Why didn't he just leave the communicating with Indonesia to Julie Bishop?

FGS! We expected the government to pull out all stops to try and save Andrew and Myuran and they did.
Mr Abbott tried to call in a favour when he pointed out the aid we've sent Indonesia over the years.
I wish he hadn't, it was demeaning, but he gave it a go.
The Indonesians professed outrage. Fair enough.
It still won't save Andrew and Myuran.
