If the horrific murder of two Australians is carried out then we should boycott Bali and all things Indonesian.
We gave over a $billion dollars to this country after the tsunami, we prop then up with foreign aid and they spit in our faces.
They have ignored all diplomatic attempts to mitigate their sentences and Watta a Joko has now signed the order to send them to the "killing Island" wouldn't want to kill them on Bali now would they, might upset the tourism business.
I'm appalled and disgusted, scared and frightened for these men and heartsick for their families.

There is very little we can do about deaths and misery in other countries, but we can do quite a lot about the same in our own country.
When overseas aid is mentioned, we hear the cry "Charity begins at home". That applies to trying to stop death and abuse in Australia. If we can put our energy and concern into that, we can make a difference.

Who is Ben Quilty? Anyone that needs to ask that knows nothing at all about one of the Australians due to be executed, nor the relevance of his Art degree. 😞
Unbelievable.
That never stopped you from asking for links, information and asking questions. How rude and how soon you forget.

Agree but all we hear from many is shovel that overseas aid out.
Rudd went on a bender of mammoth proportions handing out billions whilst he was foreign minister and the billions wasted on the soccer bid, billions more wasted on securing a seat (temporary) on the UN, the mind boggles, its criminal.
The worst part, the criminal negligence of it was, the money given away, was borrowed.
All the while ignoring the plight of our indigenous brothers and sisters.
Off topic a bit but foreign aid has been a topic mentioned on here before.

That doesn't even make sense in relation to my post.
I query misleading information that is passed on as fact.
Nothing to do with the Who is Ben Quilty - which is a question. To discuss Myuran S and not know who Ben Quilty is and what part he has played in his life... is unbelieveable. Also the comments about Ben Quilty even though poster doesn't know who he is were derogatory.

Let's actually go back to what I posted:
Who is Ben Quilty? And why should readers care what he has to say?
I don't get to read everything about everything, I'm lucky if I get to watch the nightly news on whatever channel the TV is on. So please explain to me which part was derogatory. And which part is unbelievable? My posts last night were not about the actual people in this case, but to someone who seemed to be getting distressed about the issue.

I could care less who Ben Quilty is, or thinks he is. So I personnally don't care what he has to say.
If people find that unbelievable..... so be it. He has no ability to change the crimminals outcome so he's not really relevant.
Who the crimmanls have hung out with in the last 10years is probably of more interest to them.

Derogatory???, this is a serious thread about a grave matter and it surely doesn't deserve the lectures and finger pointing and rudeness you came out with.
So the poster didn't know who Ben is, so what? that's no need to be so rude.

You felt the need to belittle a poster for their not knowing who Ben Quilty is.
I replied with a courteous post saying who Ben Quilty is. There was no need for your comment at all and no need for your the lack of manners.

WE were treated to the hideous and ghastly enactment, in full view of the worlds media, of the horrific and frightening ritual these two Australians and 8 others have to endure.
It couldn't have been more macabre with military and police fighting over who will win the honour of the gruesome detail, more money if you win it.
What was the point of it? has it ever been publicised before? sickening doen't even come close to this barbaric display by Indonesia.
We were witness to the smiles and laughter of officials telling us what it's going to be like for these prisoners.
Were the families watching? Bali holiday anyone?
PARAMILITARY police in Bali have conducted a “finetuning” exercise for moving Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran off the island to their place of execution.
But the condemned Australians and their families last night still had received no notification of the transfer.
Using two members as stand-ins, 22 mobile brigade (Brimob) police, armed with automatic weapons and wearing balaclavas, yesterday practised collecting the men from their cells at Kerobokan jail in Bali and transporting them by armoured personnel carriers to the military airport adjoining Ngurah Rai international airport.
Chan and Sukumaran are expected to be flown in an Indonesian Air Force transport plane to Cilacap, Central Java.
