Bryce Cartwright has been granted a medical exemption from receiving the flu vaccination following a controversial stand-off over the Titans forward's 'anti-vaxxer' stance.
It comes after it was confirmed teammate Brian Kelly accepted the vaccine, after previously refusing, enabling him to return to Gold Coast training on Thursday.
hmmm..

Good deflection.

I disagree and if there is a law or rule that people's employment be terminated because they excercise their sovereign right not to take a vaccination then that law must be challenged and changed.
Vaccinated people can still infect other people. And not all vaccines are safe. And a "one size fits all solution" doesn't work when people are meedicated.

That's it. No such! Anyway, this coming down on players that don't want to be vaccinated for the flu and using tthe fear of Corona virus seems just a slimey way to push for mandatory vaccination.

Please don't misquote me. Icy wrote both those posts. You just edited out my reply.

The Weston A. Price Foundation is a lobbying group that seeks to ban infant soy formula, and advocates a nutrient-dense diet of whole foods, including animal fats. Board of Directors member Kaayla Daniel has released a book titled: The Whole Soy Story: The Dark Side of America's Favorite Health Food.[13]
The Foundation is an advocate for the consumption of unpasteurized milk, or raw milk. One of its goals is to remove health regulations requiring pasteurization of milk products, so that raw milk can be legally purchased in all states. Supporters of this campaign believe pasteurization removes or destroys beneficial parts of raw milk, leading to a less healthy product that is associated with numerous diseases.[14]
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Food and Drug Administration disagree with this, noting that the pasteurization process "does not significantly change the nutritional value of milk" and that consumption of raw milk poses a "severe health risk". They point out that prior to the widespread use of pasteurization, many diseases were commonly transmitted by raw milk, while by 2005 they made up less than 1% of food and water contamination disease outbreaks.[15][16] The director of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration Division of Plant- and Dairy-Food Safety, John Sheehan, called the organization's claims on the health benefits and safety of raw milk "false, devoid of scientific support, and misleading to consumers"[3]

Hardly mainstream or necessarily true.

I imagine the idea is to not have any players catching flu. Because if they do, they will have to be isolated, as will their teammates and opposition players, until it is determined what the disease actually is.
Hardly conducive to running a football competition.
But we're living with 'flu, are't we? Some get it, some don't. Some choose to have vax against it, some don't . It was not compulsrory. Until now. We will have to learn to live with COVID-19, just as we've learned to live with' 'flu and the common cold. We contract it, we get over it.

Why? Ppl have been catching the 'flu for years and lived with it and recovered from it. Some have vaxed against it,others haven't. It was never compulsory.
Why make it a rule all of a sudden?
Does that mean the COVID-i19 is really just another strain of the 'flu and we are really panicking over just another 'flu strain? If we get a 'flu shot, all will be forgiven?

I assume you're being deliberately obtuse.
A trait I've noticed in you. You have my thoughts on the matter, set out in clear English, complete with reasoning. I realise you prefer snide ad hominem attacks, but I don't play that game.
Just in case I WAS too abstract for you - if ANY football player shows signs of a cold or flu, they will be tested for COVID-19 and isolated until such time as the test results return. As will anybody they have come into contact with.
It's not hard. It's been the case for months now.

Obtuse?
If a player shows signs of having a cold or the 'flu and gets tested for COVID-19, but shows negative resuit why insist on 'flu vaccination? When there is no vaccination as yet found against COVID-19?
Does that mean that Covid-19 is really just another strain of the 'flu and a regular 'flu vaccination will be proof against it?

Sorry davewill1964, if I stuffed up on my C&P. Didn't mean to. I haven't gone back to check it but I take your word for it.
I was just trying to get all of the other sections out.

That was the first grab I came across t but the link wasn't bad. I agree on their stance with infant soy formulla. Most soy products are from plants that have been genetically modified. People can suffer some pretty awful side effects as a result of consumption. Boys more than girls can get affected.
As far as milk goes, I think the Weston A. Price Foundation's stance may have been inflluenced by what is in our milk today. Cows afre treated with hormones and anti-biotics. They are made to produce more milk than nature intended them to and as a result their udders become inflamed and pus is mixed in with the milk and so forth.
The FDA isn't always right on many things and doesn't always do the right thing either when it comes to regulation. Sadly we live in an age where "Money talks and bull*** walks". And what's mainstream isn't always the best thing for us or completely factual.
And vaccinated people can still spread disease.
