This is something we should all be concerned about yet as soon as it's raised the words "racism" are uttered to shut down any debate. The marketplace of outrage is mobilised & feelings have become the new measurement of morality.
This Labor Party Rudd/Gillard term is a sorry signpost for what is going to become many years in the wilderness for them.
an excerpt from the link provided: "It's this hubris that has also undermined border protection. Kevin Rudd and the Prime Minister have lured unprecedented numbers of unauthorised migrants with the promise of immediate access to generous welfare. Comprehensive screening has been impossible.
Yet experience shows that a significant percentage of unscheduled arrivals will stay on welfare. Many will become part of a growing underclass with the likely social consequences now so evident in Britain and Europe.
As American economist Thomas Sowell observes, "While you cannot condemn all members of any group for what other members of their group may have done, that does not mean that we must ignore the fact that the costs and dangers created by some groups are much greater than those created by other groups".
Yet we allow political correctness to override self-preservation and risk social disharmony rather than protect our borders."

I love journos how they use the word "experience" to replace the words - evidence or statistics and yet make it appear as meaning the same LOL

Oh Well, looks like the luvvies just can't take any more bad news about thier beloved Lab party. I suppose they are all waiting for the song to be sung "The party's over" :^O or they are gearing up to attack everything that Abbott does in government.
Looks like Timmy has been punted but they are keeping it on the down low. Macca has the upper hand in that so he'll keep a tight lid on it. I wonder if he will hang around for Miss Gillard after they lose the election? posted something about this before & the whole thread was removed by the luvvie mob.
What's the bet that we will find out about all the dirty deeds done after the election? The sooky losers will have to zip it but will Rudd be able to keep from spilling his guts at every opportunity?
Interesting times ahead aye what?? 😉 Waiting for the hurt feelings & the marketplace of outrage because they care SO much.

I don't mind I'm not a Gillard fan but I'm also not an Abbott fan either. I wouldn't care who got in I just wish it wasn't either of them. But still love journo deceptions trying to vilify one messed up PM by using an easy target.

so much hatred. its best to stay uninvolved otherwise you end up sitting around here all day starting bait/hate threads.
for all the Tony lovers- ask yourself this, can you even begin to imagine him on the world stage? ....neither can I, I'm embarrassed already.

" or they are gearing up to attack everything that Abbott does in government. "
I actually laughed out loud when I read this gem in post 2.
Seriously. Ms Gillard deserves a lot of respect for the disgraceful manner in which Mr Abbott has treated the Prime Minister and the electorate with such contempt.
Mr Abbott isn't interested in the people of this fine nation. He is only interested in securing the "JOB "
This nation ( economically ) is headed for disaster if he is elected.

The Libs keep saying the problem is Labor's unrestrained spending but, in fact, it's almost all on the tax side. The tax weakness arises overwhelmingly from Costello's eight delivered or promised tax cuts. Swan's main failings were to actually deliver the last three of those cuts and to not restore the indexation of petrol excise.

.
This is the most ludidrous statement I have ever read about the way Abbott has treated Gillard. For all the spitting, finger pointing, spiteful bobbing, misogyny attacks, hit squads verballing she has launched on Abbott, I haven't read anything he has ever said that could even be remotely personal about Gillard.
Macca did this in the UK & it backfired badly so he's out here on a 457 doing exactly the same disgraceful gutter tactics that failed in the UK, go figure. ?:|
Are you sure you can actually tell them apart?
Abbott is the one wearing suits and ties. The one who made a run for the door, like a child, with another in a suit. Abbott is the one that keeps squarking about how stuffed we are when we have a AAA x 3 credit rating and our productivity is increasing.
Are you sure you're not confusing Abbott and Gillard?

So, karlandjacko, you believe that Ms Gillard has been more aggressive to Mr Abbott.
Interesting.

No, quite the reverse.
I was responding to the silverfaun comments. The id name is missing from the post for some reason. My comment starts with are you sure you can actually tell them apart?
