A very late good evening everyone!

JVH you are not ranting - just stating the truth. I agree with purple in that men don't handle sensitive, emotional situations very well - unless they are in the 'front line' - in which case they go to pieces - I do feel badly for you though; he could be much more supportive at such a traumatically sad time. A little understanding and compassion goes a long way. Hugs to you!

pjbear welcome back you were missed. Sounds like a very painful procedure you had. Thank goodness for keyhole surgery - recovery rate is much faster. Do take care and don't overdo it. It will take a while to get over it. Hopefully you will enjoy better health going forward. Hugs to you too pjbear!

Hi libby - and yes time did fly by when my b.i.l. came down - and he did enjoy the game - even though his team lost. Hope all goes well with your son's foot and his work experience! (By the way I have actually been to Marion (close to my sister) - so when you have coffee with pjbear I will know exactly where!

Dancing along with libby also hoping all is well your side of the world and your mother over her illness. Look forward to you popping in soon.

Waves to everyone - very tired - managed to find a lovely little car for my mum - a 2008 'demo' - she is thrilled. We even managed to fit in our lunch and all the banking business associated with the purchase and it is already parked in her garage! A good days work!

Sweet dreams to everyone!

Good morning all.

PJ it took me a while to recover. My daughter had hers done by keyhole. She recovered much faster than I did. I have a huge scar running from just under my bteasts to my belly button.

Libby glad to hear your Mum got her new wheels.

JV hope you are holding up there. Same goes for Dame. Hugs to you both.

Good news R is halfway through the drawers. Yay. He has 8 to make. The outer unit is in the ute and screwed to the floor. He has four of the drawers done. So he is doing very well. Maybe he wants to get on the road as well. LOL

Today is stay at home day. Got to do some housework. Oh joy. No fun at all.

Have a great day all. BBL

Hi and good morning to all you girls:)

Just back in from the nursing home.......and mother is still with us.

She is still on the poly opiate patch........plus the break through morphine.......which is to be slightly increased today.

Apparently for her to go onto the final morphine driving pump she has to be less alert than what she is at the momento. Had a long talk to the Director of Nursing.......nice girl.....and when the Doc was in yesterday he didnt feel she was ready for the morphine driver.......the DON doesnt feel it will be that far away

Have to go over to the funeral directors and have another chat re mothers arrangements.........still unsure if to have the service here or where Mother was born.....a fair few decisions yes .....and no im getting no support from the other person that lives in this house:(:(

They say when the pressure in on one finds out who is there for you......i had thought i had seen and heard it all in all my years:(.

Anyways thank you each and everyone of you.......it has been lovely to be able to come in here and let off some steam:)

JV, I hope it is all ok for you soon. Don't be too hard on your man, he is possibly doing the best he can.
Not all of us can be there, perhaps he needs the detachment?
I was angry with some of my siblings when our mum was leaving us and when I finally realised they just didn't have the strength I did, it was much easier to understand why they seemed detached.

jen, {{{hugs}}} to you and many prayers and blessings for your dear mum, if you dont mind me asking how old is your mum???
I agree with karen, don't be too hard on your guy,, maybe he doesn't know how to help or what to say,, does he ask after your mum??? maybe ilness and death is something he cant deal with...

Ask your mum what she wants re the service..a hard thing to talk about and ask, but it's her wishes & ultimately how you feel in regards to carrying those out..

If your guy is being insensitive and non supportive ,then you need to tell him that you need him atm...tell him that you cannot do this alone..

Purps thats a huge scar, i have 4 small incisions, the only issue i had was that I bled a bit in surgery, I still feel quite nauseus and in a bit of pain, but it is better today than yesterday!!

thanx missnogal, how are things for you??? its a nice 23 degrees here in Adelaide today, which is okay, so long as it stays that way and does NOT get hotter, I cant handle the heat!!

Hello everyone!

JVH - more hugs flying your way - and yes just when we think we have seen it all etc..... but perhaps in your present stressed state of mind and not as strong as norm - other influences do upset way more than when you are cruising along. Does not excuse 'that other person's' lack of support which is paramount when you are going through such a sad situation. I'm glad your mum is at least still comfortable. She must be one tough lady - easy to see from where you get your fabulous strength!

Hi pjbear glad you are feeling better and your weather sounds lovely! I adore Adelaide and would live there in a heartbeat if most of my family did not live here in melb. At least I get to visit! Please don't try and over-tax yourself you still need to rest and recover.

Hi purple - very much looking forward to your road trip and hearing some great travel stories. Your (R) must be very handy with the tools!

Hiya libby missed you yesterday - hope you are having a good one!

Lily hope you are continuing onwards and upwards with your meds! You really need to enjoy your new engagement!

Hi Nef how are things with you?

Dame best of luck with your brother - think you said Wednesday - positive vibes your way for an easy solution!

The sun is shining today - I promised myself if I don't spring clean anthing I will weed for at least an hour each day. Babysitting tomorrow so may do 2hours to day to compensate. Or not lol!

Have a great day to everyone!

Hello again everyone. Did a bit around here this morning. Not much but I will get there.

Hi purple - very much looking forward to your road trip and hearing some great travel stories. Your (R) must be very handy with the tools!

R was a carpenter and joiner so yep he is very handy with the tools. Thank goodness. Would hate to have to pay someone to do it. That is if I could find them.

This time I will try to be a bit more dilligent with the pics etc. Problem is I get too lazy. LOL

My best mate is coming for lunch on Thursday, so something to look forward to.
