> Kerry I just thought it may be something else for you to get and may find you a job while you continue to look for other work:)
> Are you off to church tomorrow?
> I do not go every sunday but most fortnights I do, mr of course does not come with me but my grandies do when they are here and my daughter also, I love the calmness and the tranquility I feel after having been to church:)
> I sometimes take one of my seniors with me if they are feeling well enough and they enjoy it:)
I have thought about it Dame but I am worried as it is a very physical job and I am wondering if I can cope with it but I will give it a go.
Yes I am going to church tomorrow last weeks talk was about diversity very interesting as there is a very diverse gathering now at the church the main contingent is people from south africa in my bible group there are about 6 south africans and I worked with one at the red cross. when I went there in the late 80s there was a sea of white faces now it is very diverse in a cultural sense.
I am looking at becoming a member and getting C baptized as he isnt yet. someone is coming round next week to have a talk to me. I do have about half a dozen buddah's in the yard and my house for decoration purposes not to worship.
Do you think I should get rid of them?

Well Kerry, I do not think you should get rid of you buddahs
To me a buddah is very peaceful and calming:)
You should find some fellowship at church and maybe you will find some new friends:)
I often light a candle for you and say a prayer for you on your lifes journey as I do for lots of my friends here:)
Take care and God bless!
Regards your working in aged care it may just be handy to have that cert. as it could lead to other avenues.
Best of luck Kerry because I admire your tenacity to get work:)

> Jen, talking about if we are the same here as off line as in real life, a few people have told me I am a lot quieter in real life than they expected as they thought I was quite bubbly here, I think I may be a bit shyer in rl than I appear on here, and probably not quite as confident as I sometimes appear here:)

Lol Dame i do understand.........and glad your own mechanic is doing the deed on the red beast:)

COMMUNITY FRIENDSHIP THREAD FOR EVERYONE

Good Morning all.
I did write out a post yesterday, but the ebay gremlins ate it, and I couldn't be bothered trying again.

Dame, what a fiasco about your car. It's good that the owner is coming to the party to help you out, as well he should. Whoever wrote out the roadworthy should be prosecuted, is the Dept of Motor Transport going to chase that up?
What else is wrong with the car aside from the CV joints, P is curious.

Kerry, P recommends hiding your Buddha's as he said some churches may see them as being a 'false God' [as per the Old Testament], even though you only use them for decoration.
I understand re your reluctance for the Aged Care course and the physical part of it. Getting into Home Based care would be good, but definitely nursing home work is very heavy, even if not on your back, just the workload. I heard a few stories from a couple of the others in my group, plus the carers that I worked with who did home based care, who had done nursing home type work before.
I guess there are good facilities as well, but the workload is certainly full on.

If I was to do Aged Care work, it would be in home care, but I've had no luck with any of my applications. One interview, unsuccessful, and the other places are just not hiring. I telephone or email every couple of weeks, no luck.

But at the moment, with my weight, depression etc, I doubt I could even do home care work. If I am on my feet for an hour my legs and knee's ache, my left foot and ankle swell up like a balloon and where I had the cellulitis and lymphodema on my left lower leg feels as though it's on fire.
I am seeing another JCA soon as the one I saw 2 weeks ago had said in her report that I could work full time, and physically my body couldn't take it right now. I know I am morbidly obese, and surely the JCA could see that too. Physically I just can't do certain things.

Maybe after being on the Lexapro for a while and talking to a psychologist, I might get the more positive mindset to focus on weight loss.

Last night was the first night in days that I actually slept, except for waking up 4 times to go to the bathroom. [I don't have diabetes, that's already been checked out].
It was good to finally catch up on sleep instead of waking up at 1 or 2 am, and sitting up in the lounge room till 5am.

But enough of me.

Purps, sorry to hear your bug has bounced back, but glad you are now on more antibiotics. Please take it easy.

I did read through the last page or so of this thread, but now I can't recollect much of what was posted.....sorry.

It is a gorgeous morning here in Hervey Bay. Took my daughter to work earlier. She is getting loads of hours with Woolworths, has had an excellent first performance review, and gets on really well with the lady in charge at the service desk. I'm sure that after her 3 month probation, she'll get permanent work.

P is off to work soon, so I better get his lunch made. Tomorrow morning his aunt and cousins are popping around for a cuppa. They have been warned not to wear black cos of Golden hair scattered around. No matter how often I vacuum or sweep, there is always some around.

Hope everyone enjoys their Sunday.
