Hello everyone
Great news :-D- Scatty is MUCH better!!! Even the vet is amazed. My boy is 84 (i.e. 12) years old, and I was all ready to pull the plug - he was soo sick. But now he's almost back to normal - and spoiled rotten!!!:-) I just gave him some bar-b-q chicken (they say this is the most tempting meal for your sick cat) even though it's not meal time!!
He's not out of the woods yet, but hopefully he will be fully recovered before I go on "the holiday of a lifetime" in about 10 days.
Thanks for all the positive thoughts:-x
Glad you're feeling better pj and jvh, you sound like you are moving on. Moving! yuk! I don't envy you that.
Anyway off to prepare my talk for Reclaim the Night on Thursday, and to spoil the Scatty cat a bit more.
Best wishes to everyone.:-x

Hi everyone.
I did have a nice long post typed out yesterday but the gremlins ate it, and I just couldn't be bothered trying to type it all out again.
I do hope everyone is doing okay. JV, you are often in my thoughts re your mums passing and all the stuff that needs sorting out following. I do hope it's all sliding into place okay. From what I have read you have certainly been very busy of late.
Dame, I hope your stepdad is settling in at the centre okay........I know your mum is against it all, but with her own health suffering, and his condition deteriorating she simply can't continue doing all she has been doing for him. Hopefully with this break she is having, she will realise what a full on job caring for him has been, and how nice it is for her to not have to worry about him wandering, or getting aggressive.
Your own little holiday must be drawing near.....relax and enjoy!
Kerry, from one unemployed to another, I hope your luck is better than mine.
I had another job capacity assessment done last week, and because of my weight, depression etc, they have referred me to a DEN provider. This is a good thing because previously I had been told I had to apply for any type of work, even work that physically I could not do, eg waitressing etc. Plus I was supposed to be able to work full time hours, which with all the weight I've put on, my lymphodema in my left leg etc, was just impossible.
So now my hours of required work have been cut right back and with a DEN case worker, they will assist me in searching for work that I can physically do.
Have seen my psychologist twice now......I don't feel she's addressing anything yet, but I certainly am not in the dark, twisty place I was a couple of months back, though I do still have emotional outbursts, tears, sadness etc from time to time.
But enough about me...........
Son is out and about in Brisbane at the moment, flew up from Sydney yesterday. I'm a bit down in the dumps that he's not coming up here, but he says he'll try to get up here another time. It's been about 14 months now since I've seen him. He's staying with friends that he knew when he lived up here. Sadly we don't have the spare cash to get down to Brissy, what with cost of fuel, meals, and an overnight stay, plus my daughter needs me to taxi her to work.
P and I have been together almost 1 year now, 12 months on Nov 1st. He bought me ER Season 14 as a gift cos I've been hankering for it for ages.
I have on layby for him, Billy Connolly World Tour DVD set........where he visits different countries and plays tourist.
The weather up here has been gorgeous........a bit hot out in the sun, and my leg has been puffed up something bad with the heat, but it's so beautiful to look out over the bay.
Mind you we need rain badly, the lawn is all brown and burnt.
I send hugs and good wishes to you all, my apologies for not naming everyone.
Enjoy your Sunday, and hope you all get some relaxation at some stage.
