Chocolate lovers, are you sitting comfortably?
Expats living in Australia will be in for a shock when they discover the latest concoction mashed-up by Cadbury.
The chocolate company has decided to put together a mash-up of what we'll call... unconventional flavours as part of a new range coming to shops Down Under.
We're not quite sure what to make of at least two of them. Take a look for yourself and see:
Golden Toffee, alright grand... Pretzel and Peanut sounds OK... but salted caramel?? And VEGEMITE?
Ok I've heard about Chili and Chocolate.
And there's chocolate coated coffee beans
But vegemite and Chocolate?
Erk blerk blerk.

There is nothing unusual or new about salted caramel in chocolate.
Lindt have sea salt caramel flavoured balls - yum.. Mother's Day chocs for me.

It's got to be an Islamist plot of some kind. (after all, aren't they both halal certified?) II can't for the life of me imagine what their nefarious scheme may be, but 'm sure someone will be along soon to enlighten us all.

I agree. They recent change for the block chocolate was one row less (now 200g?) They can't keep taking one row off every year!
That used to be a 'family sized' block.

Ha, they had to save money by reducing the blocks by one row so they could pay the exorbitant halal cert fees! (Conspiracy theory)

Many years ag, when I was a little girl, one of my uncles performed a sickening feat at a large family gathering.
He took a piece of chocolate cake in one hand and a large dill pickle in the other, saying to all; "Chocolate cake is delicious, so are dill pickles. How good is it to eat both together?"
And with this he bit into both those delicious items and ate them with glee.
Of cource he put everyone off desert. Laughing he said; "More for me."
I like like dark chocolate and indulge now and then, but only good brands. No Cadburrys.
Vegemite is fine in small quantities, but never would I try chocolate with Vegemite.
Yuck, yuck.
