I just found out my ice cream has completely melted. Will it be back to normal and taste the same when I refreeze it?

It will probably go icy especially if you freeze it very hard.

No, it will not be the same. It will be floury or icy with a syrupy layer on the bottom and shrink.

No and refrozen icecream is a very common source of food poisoning.
as it refreezes, the air incorporated into the original anglaise will not "go back" unless you rechurn it as it refreezes. So you will probably end up with a solid block of about 1/3 of the original volume.

Yep, its had it.. will be icy and unappealing.
What did you do to it bob? Leave the freezer door open, leave it on the bench by mistake or put it in the fridge instead of the freezer.
