I went to the drive in in Texas and saw Godzilla, Bluddy stupid americans 🙂 wasn't my idea of a good night out!

The first and last drive-in I went to was in Sydney, around 1984, (on hol from NZ). Can't remember what the movie was. 
The drive-in was near Lane Cove??

First and only drive in movie when my eldest daughter got her first car. A white Volkswagen Beatle. My youngst son was with us to see The Pink Panther. The kids were laughing that much the car rockt and swayed. I thought any moment we'll tip over.

I remember going in winter and it was freezing and you had to have the windows down for the speakers. Lots of people used to drink and drive in those days too.

That's true Rabbit.  One had to wonder how they could even see the movie when the windows were all fogged up.

Joz..... because we were not used to that kind of "boy" and didn't want to sit in the car in such close proximity. It was not the usual situation for us to be asked to hop in the boot.
As it turned out both of them went on to murder and rape a couple of hitchikers a couple of years later.
Lucky escape for us.
