Cassette tapes making a comeback thanks to young, independent artists
Not in my house they wont be LOL
Like the vinyl record, you can waste money on them if you want but dont try to convince me they are better than CDs or Hard Drive collections.
i lost count of how many expensive cassette tapes and LPs i had to bin cos they either became a tangled up mess inside my player or got too warm and warped.

even with a $100,000 system i'd still be listening thru a pair of 1959 ears LOL

Actually, the cheap turntables have no impact on your vinyl........it's the cheap styluses that screw them up. I can remember in the 60's my brother taping pennies to the arm to mitigate the skipping.

That turntable will give you a clear representation of the hisses, snaps, and crackles from your 40-year old LPs........ And you'll never get one into you new hoopty.
