Just popping in to say hello to the lovely OKers! ♥

Im at work- *sigh* BUT it IS Friday ahead of a long weekend so cant be too unhappy!

Have lots to do in the home, our little reno is going along quickly and Mr 12 should have himself a spanky new bedroom in a week or 2.
Then his room will be turned into the nursery.
I have the plasterer arriving at 7am tomorrow ... yikes! Tradies!!!!

Id like to paint the undercoat, and maybe topcoat- depends on my energy levels!
Next week is the finishing like the fram around the door and also getting a small window put in... then Im off to Ikea for his new bed, sidetable & Tallboy drawers. Oh and new bedlinen (St George Dragons- it's a surprise!!)
Im trying to get this done before 22nd Oct as that's my babyshower and I need his current bedroom cleared ready for the trailer load of baby stuff arriving! I seriously have nothing bought as yet (besides nappies! LoL) And my lil sis has co-ordinated all the fam/friends to make sure all the required items are covered! Id say hubby will freak when he sees everything- he has no idea what he's in for!!

Hi amazing women!

We survived the storm, my suburb was in it's direct path. Only the new pergola I'd put up was damaged. The poles snapped. But I'm buying heavy duty gaffa tape and super glue. I can fix it! :^O

I love that there is lots of movement in this thread for so many people.


I was looking at random Buddhist stories on the internet and I came across one about a woman who had a serious eye emergency. Her father was an eye specialist but she was estranged from him and saw an other specialist. Anyway, long story short, she ended up chanting to clear her resentment towards her father and her eye problem resolved itself.

Hmm I wonder to whom I have been holding resentment? :^O

I'll start my mission to clear the resentment and anger I have towards Mr Ex and my dad tonight. It's time to let it go. Really let it go. I've also realised I have a tendency to judge people for my own need to feel superior.

I had a very difficult client on the phone for two days running. We, in the office, had all had to deal with her as she was phoning constantly. We all made jokes about her. The police were involved. Last night I was talking to one of the police about the situation and she happened to mention the woman had a brain injury.

This information completely changed my attitude. But why did I have to wait until I had this information to feel compassion for this woman? I'm working on this. Tonight it is my mission at work not to judge and "slander" people. Even people who are cranky and abusive don't deserve my judgement. Maybe I need to feel compassion for those who have such negativity in their lives.

There is so much to learn!

Why is your ex now starting to vent at you? Is it because he can drop the "nice guy" facade or is he stressed about something? Are you not doing what he wants?

Whatever his reason Jacks you do NOT need to put up with that carp. Perhaps tell him if he continues to speak to you in this way he'll have to communicate through emails and texts. Or once he starts venting at you terminate the call and tell him you'll be happy to continue the conversation when he speak to you civilly.

You have the right to be treated with respect Jacks :-x
