chuk, thank God you were sent here because you are among understanding friends. I don't know if you've followed this thread in its entireity, but if you haven't then it's a must read form start to finish. Even if all you get out of it is that you are not the only person to be going through what you're going through.
It sucks and it hurts and it's depressing and it may even be making you sick with worry, but you'll be ok.....eventually. It's early days, so for now just go through each day second by second, minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day. Do what ever it takes, but keep heading forwards when you can. Talk if you want to talk to us, but if you'd rather just lurk then that's ok too. We'll be here when we're needed. cyn X

To cat: remember when i said you'd come across a newbie and their pain will be saw raw you could almost feel it and in that instance you'd be able to see just how far you've come? Well here's your chance. What chuck can only see as a dark cloud, you can see has a glimmer of a silver lining for you. See how strong you have become? Now it's your time to pay it forward.

Together, if we all pitch in and be there for each other, then we'll all be ok. One day :-x

Chuk, take heart that, although life is grim at the moment, from the words of all who have posted here with their stories of survival, you WILL overcome this hurt, you WILL get through this.

Cyn, that is a wonderful post.

Cat :-x

It's like grieving for a death, Chuk. I liken it to wading through a bog. You have to do it, there's no way round it and every step hurts like hell, but if you just keep putting one foot in front of the other then one day you will be on the other side looking back.

Me too chuck. I wanted him back so bad. I didn't think my life could even exist without him in it. I was wrong. As the old saying goes, life goes on.
Hey you know what's funny? I just went to write out how many years it's been for me since he left and I can't even remember. Better still I can't even be bothered working it out. Yay me.:^O

All I know is he's gone. I can now see I am much better off without him and I'm stronger than I ever knew I was. It hasn't been easy and I'm not quite there yet, but I'm ok. The best thing my ex did was walk out on me, coz who nows how long I'd have turned cartwheels around the continent if that's what it would have taken to get him back. I went above and beyond, but he'd left the marriage long before I even realised. I can see that now, but sometimes I wonder if I'd have ever reached the point of saying, รซnough's enough if he hadn't gone and ( Lord help me) would I still be putting up with all that carp today if he hadn't?

Do you mind me asking why your hubby left? Was he not happy? In love with someone else? or whatever other pithy excuse they can find.
