Well it's my lucky day. The roofing guys have arrived. It's looking like a bad patchwork job but at least the birds won't be able to get in. Bad luck that I am still in my jarmies when they arrived and one of them looks very nice too :8} He probably thinks I'm a lazy slob with bird lice in my roof

She_ele, you are tight.  Due to all the latest posts showing on the front page, regardless of what area they belong in ie Community Sirit, Buying, Coins and Stamps etc. it could have been absolutely anyone.

Hello lovelies...

Just checking in with my 3 fave threads on here, then heading to the lounge to lay down!

Half way thru 6th Jan, and no signs of labour beginning anytime soon. Poor kids are sooo bored- I am too!

In the early hours of this morn when I was trying to use meditation/ relaxation techniques to sleep I vaguely remembered that in my early hypnotherapy sessions, I think I recall the Hypnotherapist saying that the baby will arrive on 7th January (with a very descriptive arrival), so fingers crossed that my brain releases the hormones to start labour tomorrow!

Im not 100% as you dont recall every little thing said, it was just a passing memory and it kinda made sense, so I guess we just wait & see????

Jacks, good news about your roof! Meh don't worry about being in your PJ's. As a shift worker I'm always in my PJ's whenever someone rings my doorbell before 11am. And I'll always tell them why I'm still in my PJ's so they don't think I'm a lazy slob but honestly they don't really care :^O

Master James will come good as he matures because he is a good kid. :-x

The plumbers came a few days ago and said there were 3 leaks! So are they putting in a whole new piping system, tomorrow I hope.

Good news! Ava will be released from hospital soon and Sally's doctors are thinking about releasing Sally at the same time to recover in bed at home with medical care so Ava and Sally can bond. Fabulous news!

cj:-x retailworld-sigh...I hear ya!I can tell that most of the difficulties you are having is because you arent trained and yet customers expect you to have been.My advice would be to take a deep breath and just take your time..if someones impatient,just take your time to deal with them as best you can.Being seen to be willing to be helpful is the key!

I often get phone calls,completely random!asking for some garment they have seen in a magazine(my first question is always-so,do you have the magazine?and thats when they usually say-no,it was at the drs/hairdressers/dentists etc..the image they are looking at/remembering could be months old!)and therefore no longer available,or they think if somethings on our website that its available to order,or that the designer will 'make' it for them if they ask!!!(he designs,not sews!)I could tell you of insane conversations I have had with people because they think the world ought to stop and do things their way-and I just want to say:Ah,no,we are all on this planet over here!I had a bride ask me recently if I 'received a discount when I buy these clothes?'and instead of answering,I asked'why do you ask?'and she said.'well,if you do,can you give me your discount on my Wedding Gown?' wth???At the beginning,I used to get v stressed about it all but these days I try to stay a bit separate and I can offload some of these insane conversations with other staff through a notebook we keep..Ive developed systems to manage the store and have trained the staff so it runs smoothly,but I also keep my poker face nearby when I hear nutty comments and qs...:^Oand I do keep away from sharp objects!]:)If theres anything you think I could help you with,you are welcome to email me..I dont mind:-)
