Cat news

The moral of the story in general might need to be "don't touch animals you don't know".  Dogs and cats can be quite territorial whether feral or not if they are roaming outside with no owner in sight (which should not happen anyway).

While I am sympathetic to some degree about the lady getting scratched, I feel compelled to say that an adult should know better.  Children may not, but adults should know you don't touch what looks like a stray cat or dog.

The lady may have caused the cat to take on a defensive position.

Having stated that, I do wish cat and dog owners would take better care of their animals so that this kind of episode does not happen.

Calling that cat a "rogue", in my opinion, is ridiculous, and adults have to take some responsibility for not being aware of simple rules such as "don't touch".
