Cat pee

One of my cats has peed somewhere but I can't locate where the smell is coming from.

Expecting visitors tomorrow and I'd rather the house didn't smell so feral. Any suggestions on how to minimise the smell?

This rings alarm bells!  Cats don't like to eat in the same room as their litter tray. Would you like to eat your dinner in the toilet? lol Cats are very clean creatures and toileting outside their litter tray tells you something is wrong in Kitty World.

Can you keep their food and water bowls in another room?

Its a decent size laundry. The cats sleep in a cupboard at one end, the kitty litter trays are in the middle and their food and water bowls are at the other end, on top of the washing machine. It has always been that way. Ashka is ten years old and loves her food so much that she'd eat it no matter where it was. lol.

Eventually, they will have direct access to an outdoor cat enclosure 24/7 which is where the kitty litter trays will be.

LOL. The cupboard door is kept open. They both have comfy beds to sleep in but one of them chooses to sleep in a plastic tub. LOL

blue, I don't have cat's, 3 dogs and about 150 birds but hubby works in heavy industry and there are lots of feral cats there, last year a few of the blokes started feeding one in particular who was a bit friendly, soon after they chipped in and had him de-sexed.

Since that we have found  homes for two kittens (same work site), another cat has been adopted by one of the worker's and another by one of the cleaners.

They all take turns buying cat food (even one of the bosses).

The next door neighbours have a big ginger cat who often sits on our avairies, we and the bird's don't mind, keep's the butcher birds away.
