cutting back on food ?

we are cutting it right back , we did it last year as well 

i see it as being  pointless buying a heap of food for one day and

A- you either have to be eating it for weeks after or

B- throwing it out.

I am not sure what we are doing this year.but I never over buy anyway. We generally share it around.

We're going to be stocking up the freezer as we have friends coming from Canada to stay with us on boxing day, but there won't be any waste, it's being planned as day by day menus ....

Only the two of us so no point buying too much. Just buy what we need as I do not want to be eating leftovers for a week. Or throwing food out.

As usual lately, we are "all going out"  for Christmas Lunch or Christmas Eve Lunch....depends on the grandchildrens availability.

But I always buy a small ham, and enjoy eating it for weeks before, during and after.
