I like Christmas but it seems to come around far too fast.
Also, maybe it is just me but it all seems to kick off a bit early, the TV is full of ads about it, the decorations are up at the shops. I would have thought maybe later Nov maybe but it all seems a bit early to be ramping it up.

I have always had mixed feelings about it, but having stated that, these days we really celebrate the 'spirit' of it with like minded friends. What that means though, is we ignore the sheer commercialism of it and enjoy it with lots of friends, their families, music, a special gathering and hopes for the future of planet earth.
It's not a religious thing for us (religions have never brought peace on earth), but rather, a mother earth hope for the future for everyone ...

Yes because it's being done to death by the retailers and those that capitalise on it. Like that gambling agency Sportsbet. "Merry Puntmas"!
I mean, really?!
It's just not a special once-year-event anymore.
Yesterday I passed a restaurant which had a Christmas tree up already.
by the time Christmas has arrived, ppl are Christmas-fatigued.

I must be misunderstanding what you mean twyngwyn? Do you mean that you believe anyone who enjoys Christmas does not work in terms of occupation or giving to charities?

Christmas is OK with me.
Up to each of us how we enjoy it.
Hi Tas, I think what twyn means is the work preparing meals etc for Christmas.
