Make of it what you will.
My only observation is ;
"for 30 years we have been seeing seeing more and more out of season worldwide
extremes of weather"
Whatever the cause can we deny that mankind faces major and increasing survival challenges?

Oh dear me POD, do you not realise that "there is no net contribution to GHG from human respiration" just like burning wood has no net effect on atmospheric CO2 either. If your proposal was actually considered/relevant it would represent less than 1% of CO2 emissions.
I know, science and facts are not welcome!

No, what is happening is the 24 hour news cycle is so desperate for news, any news, they have taken to sensationalising the weather. They are now making normal weather events a news story.
The ABC are in bed with Combet so climate change is a priority for them.
Roll on Sept 14th so all this madness can be put into some kind of normality, then take a deep breath & everybody get their heads straight.
Abolish the monolith of the climate commission, sack Flannery & then do some practical remediation.
We are supposed to take anything that Flannery says seriously? not when he trots out a retired colonel who then goes on to tell us that humans will be extinct by 2020.

So Tony and his mates are going to wave their magic wands and turn climate change into a myth. Will they also be turning water into wine?

Just when i thought the loonies went back to using "Global Warming" are they going back to climate change denier again? Stick with global warming, climate change denier sounds ridiculous.

Let the games begin !!
DAL can I join you in a giggle?
I know it not very manly but it sure is fun 🙂
I propose that every person on the planet slows down their breathing by 10% and that will significantly reduce co2 and if you give up eating beans and cabbage that will do the same for methane.
🙂
Absolutely Poddy, that article will supply you with many giggles.....:-D

Don't you just love the 97% figure but now it is 97% of scientists.
I do believe that most alarmists just pluck figures out of the air (even though it is polluted with noxious co2)
we are fortunate indeed to have allies to combat this noxious substance by consuming it and turning it into something we rely on and in the process provide us with ingestible energy giving food.

So just in case anyone wasn’t sure, a major study of almost 12,000 scientific papers on global warming between 1991 and 2011 finds less than one per cent disagree that humans are the main cause.
Published in the journal Environmental Research Letters, the study led by John Cook, the Australia-based founder of Skeptical Science, confirms the debate about the causes of global warming had all but vanished in the scientific literature by the early 1990s. Almost all the research says it’s mostly caused by humans.
For any followers of climate science in journals (the place where it actually matters) the finding wasn’t really news at all.
Yet survey after survey finds the public still thinks scientists are arguing over the causes of global warming and the media continues to attempt to resuscitate long-dead ideas.

The lesson from these campaigns is pretty clear. If you give the public the impression that fossil fuel burning might not be the cause of climate change, then the vested interests think this waters down their concern and protects the viability of their product.
For free market fundamentalists and a significant chunk of conservative politics, the same rule applies. Hacking away at the public’s understanding of the causes of climate change reduces the pressure on governments to regulate greenhouse gases and keeps the “free market” ideologues happy.
For the rest of us, cutting the risks of dangerous climate change became collateral damage.
