I really like the garden posted by Kopenhagen. My new backyard is a blank slate I would love to find the time to make something like that. It reminds me of a Japanese garden. If I cound get the tree laying on its side in Dsk's pic...it'd be great!
The Moeraki boulders posted by Am*3...bit of a mystery those things. Millions of years ago the oceans were red due to a high iron content. Stromatolites (sort of the early version of coral reefs) formed all over the planet producing oxygen creating a rust in the ocean which formed the iron deposites we dig up today and changed it's colour to what it is now.
Mentioned here at 16:37 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xsn3wpVAcjk
It's possible those boulders are Stromatolites. Maybe your drier hotter weather caused the smoother shape than elsewhere.

I think Mon night is good too, thread might lose momentum if there is a time gap between end of one theme and start of another.
No-one knows what the next theme is going to be, so it is not as if some are getting a head start on others in that respect.

I don't think so Pimpy. Some of my favourite photos have been on later pages this week. I love that one from Boris with the seagulls.
I also love Tende's photo on page 2. I just love it! The colour of the water and the sky and the cliffs.

I agree joono
I think the thread is moving along well, and of all the winner's I have seen, I can't think of one that didn't deserve to.
I am a bit of a sad one at times, I go back through towards the end and have another look at them all anyway LOL

After the dinner party, the lorikeets retired to the lounge!

Put these on the nature thread - specially that one with them sitting on the lounge, that is so cute.

Hi Greencat
I thought it might be a bit late for more entries and also didn't want to flood the comp with my pics lol. I just really liked that one and thought others might like to see it. When it rained in Kooralbyn, the lorikeets would huddle under the patio out of the rain.

Thanks Lurker and Greencat. I've put it up on the photo comp. This is my favourite subject. I would have chosen Nature as a subject. I have soo many nature photos.
