Please be advised that if you have a device as shown below, which is a BigPond 4G ultimate Wi Fi modem, that it risks hahing the battery explode amd catch fire. The fire could ignite your home.

 

The battery in the device is a Lithium Ion Polymer battery which, if it is over charged, short circuited or gets to the state of the battery shown and ruptures, could explode and burst into flames.

May I advise that if you have a device that uses Lithium Ion batters that you check them on a regular basis for signs such as shown below.

 

Also if you device shows signs of that below, or any  signs of the "pillow effect", contact you contact the supplier without delay.

 

Cameras, mobile phones and a whole host of electronic devices use Lithium Ion batteries

Keep the battery charged with the correct charger which will not over charge.

If the battery is put away after use without recharge it can go flat in which case

they can swell/inflate and in this state can be unstable.

Keep them away from strong electric fluxes like ark welders & such as this can 

overcharge them sometimes producing expolsive results.
