Companies to pay more for skilled migrants

barely a week after the govt anounces with great fanfare how they are lowering the tax burdon on small business they anounce a raise in the cost for business to bring in skilled workers. lol

as for country medical centres without imported doctors they will go out of business or you'll be waiting months for an apointment.

i see many many obviously imported doctors at my local medical centre. i dont mind where a doctor is born as long as they know what they are doing and speak reasonable english.

i ask mr turnbull why do we even need to be bringing doctors in from anywhere? its not like being a doctor is a seasonal occupation. as the population grows we need more doctors dont we? so train them and make them practice in country areas!

The government cannot compel anyone to work anyhere if that person has paid for their own training.

They can only make country service compulsory if that person is subsidised by the government or contracted in some way to work for the government.....hence overseas doctors being imported to fill the vacancies in one horse towns where Aussie doctors won't work.
