Couple who murdered their disabled son found dead.

Does anyone remember this case? Elderly couple murdered their 28yo severely disabled son. The court case went on for a while and in the end they escaped gaol because the jury  and judge were sympathetic to their plight. They were depressed and overworked at the time and the son was about to undergo surgery that would have disabled him further.

It sounds like murder suicide. They must have been in their late 70's. Poor things.
