When you're making curry paste, you get a much better flavour if you cook the spices before combining them with the dish. Just sweat them off in a fry pan and "wake up the flavours" of your dried spices.

I wonder how pulled sugar would go? Reckon anyone could take offence at that?
so the toothbrush, curry etc seems like a safe bet.
