DDU can I ask you about your chooks? You do have chooks don't you?
Roughly what sort of cage do you have i.e. wooden? How many chooks & what/how much do you feed them? I searched chook houses on ebay, do you suggest a good one?

Klarry what is needed to fox proof a chook house? We were thinking wire underneath and perhaps sleepers too? Are snakes & rats a problem?

Any information would be good ๐Ÿ™‚

Well, lets expand from chooks, given you now cannot buy Australian baked beans on the shelf at Coles that aren't made from Imported and Australian product (the fact that the Imported is listed first seems to infer it's more imported than local) .. lets figure out how to make the buggers ..

anyone got a recipe they've tried?

I am trying an experiment .. i'm now feeding my chooks layer mash on top of their grain and veg to see if that entices them to lay me some eggs.

Actually I'm having a few eggs from the thin shelled chook. The eggs came good for a week. I've just put another mix of pollard, shell grit & canola

do you feed them the egg shells? You should if you don't . just crunch them up so they don't realise they're eggs, otherwise they'll eat the eggs once laid.
