She doesnt have sugar loaded drinks, she actually eats very healthy, just having trouble losing weight after she had her daughter.
So, you only had this for breakfast and after exercise?

That is a great idea Newstart.... the home made shakes are often much better as they have less sugary carbs....
I make a high protein muesli bars.... much better than the bought ones and you can alter the recipe to suit yourself.... when my son eats them his appetite is halved as the protein keeps the hunger in check.
I will post the recipe later if anyone is interested...
Me to, please?

I have it for breakfast and after I have exercised, if I do not exercise that day I only have one drink. It really does fill you up and is low GI as well so slow release energy.
Tell her to do some "planking" for 30 seconds when ever she can at home, best tummy exercise ever.

I have lost 7kg in 8 weeks on the opti fast diet with 1 healthy meal at night.
I would recommend this regime to anybody, it works, there's no hassle & you eat a healthy meal once per day either lunch or dinner.
I have had no side effects, no tiredness & I feel great I have kicked the chocolate habit. I didn't exercise except for my normal daily work routine so that's a bonus as I hate exercise.
I need to lose 6kgs more & I will be back to my normal weight of 54Kgs.
I can get cheap optifast products on line that only cost $1.11 per meal from Chemist Warehouse.
Totally loving my weight loss journey.

Good for you, glad it works. the best things about this recipe is you don't have to have the limited flavours available in the packets, you can have heaps of different varieties and just about anything you can think up.
I know exactly what I am drinking, I know it is very high protein and very low carb, I think you should look at the carb % in each packet of diet drink and if above 2.5% it is to much.
the cost per serve of the recipe I use is about 50 cents per serve, if I add a little extra milk or some water it is even cheaper.
My main point for putting this on is due to what is in the recipe, the cost and variety and also I think the diet industry is ripping people off.

I agree, I am sure the diet industry is ripping people off.
I gave the recipe to my daughter, she said to say thankyou, she is going to buy the low protein powder and is happy that she knows what she will be drinking.

skim milk, 1 egg, 1 teaspoon honey, 1 heap tablespoon LOW CARB protein powder ( below 2.5% per serve) a fruit ( banana, blueberries, strawberries etc) . Also have after exercise.
What can you substitute for the honey? I really can't handle the smell or taste.... and btw, thank you, I may try it.:-)
