They elected Howard and kept voting for Howard. The guy that Fraser sacked because he was the worst treasurer ever. Unfortunately give the average aussie a couple of years and they forget anything political but can remember who kicked what goal, when and where. What way the wind was blowing and how many beers they had while watching it.

There was a  time in our recent history that we were told by many in the commentariat that Abbott wouldn't make it. Look what happened.

Tony Abbott was all noise and bluster as an Opposition leader. As a Prime Minister he is a failure...this last week has proved that.

We have had a whole 12 months since then, of Abbott's gaffes and stuff ups.. Read the new stories for the last week instead..the worst week for Abbott so far.

Abbott being a loud aggressive Opposition Leader did not translate into him becoming a good PM.

and your point is? look what happened? well yes I am looking - hockey has doubled the deficit, the budget sits mostly unpassed like the big stinking bag of rubbish it is, 2 streams of revenue were thrown out in defence of big big business, our public services are being decimated, the unemployed, the aged and the disabled have been targeted and attacked, fear has been used to whip up racism, we have become an international joke and disgrace, the GBR is under threat as is most of our wonderful natural wonders....need any more?

The point is rather visible. We were told he was unelectable but the sign on his door says "Prime Minister". 

You're telling us he'll be a one term PM. Do you see any danger in making predictions?
