As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed. The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.
This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.
and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says
The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.
Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).
But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.
"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

I was spot on with my 9%, it being 9.08%.
Everyone knows China has been trending down, that is why I used the average because it is so volatile.

That is not accurate.
Maybe they are expecting 9% like China,
China is not/was not expecting 9%.

You never agree with anything so it doesn't matter.
You haven't got a clue when it comes to the economy or what I was trying to say, or GDP.
You even laughed at what I wrote about Geelong ages ago,
yet now other councils are asking them for advice.None of that is accurate. As usual you can't stick to the actual points under discussion.
I was, but you ignore the fact that I was spot on with my figure.

No, you even said yourself
**Maybe they are expecting 9% like China,

**That doesn't say your estimate is based on averages.

Only foolproof if diet is moderated? No hanging out at the local pizza shop.
He would never make Health Minister - overweight, cigar smoking.....

I would be so disappointed about that It cuts me up to think you might not want to discuss it further.
I know what I am talking about, I can't speak for others though.

This is a shame for Tasmania (job creation wise).
Cadbury turns down $16 million grant for Tasmanian factory upgrade after 'failing to meet criteria'
Chocolate maker Cadbury has withdrawn its application for a $16 million grant from the Federal Government to upgrade its Hobart factory because it had failed to meet the requirements.
The factory, operated by Mondelez International, was promised the funding injection by Prime Minister Tony Abbott during his 2013 election campaign.
The funding was to go towards a $66 million upgrade of the facility in the suburb of Claremont, with the company making up the remaining $50 million itself.
Amanda Banfield from Mondelez said the company was disappointed to have to turn the offer down.
"While it is disappointing that the proposed visitor centre will not proceed, we remain committed to our people and the core manufacturing operation at Claremont," she said.
The development was expected to create 200 jobs and 120 indirect jobs by 2017.
