As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed. The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.
This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.
and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says
The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.
Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).
But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.
"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

Senior Abbott ministers outed as 'double-dippers' as fairness debate rages
Question time was dominated by the PPL issue on Thursday. Opposition leader Bill Shorten demanded an apology from Prime Minister Tony Abbott to the mothers of Australia for suggestions by Coalition ministers that they are "rorters" and that the double-dip system was "basically a fraud".
Senator Cormann confirmed his own family had double-dipped, or rather, "worked within a system that was available at the time like any other family", as he put it

Federal budget 2015: Joe Hockey's growth message is spend, spend, spend

Well worth repeating twice, or is that four times, or maybe six times now?
Many times now, and as usual with no original additional input or comments from the C&Pers, however stimulation of Kudos swapping would appear to be de rigueur.
I do find it perplexing within a "debate" when participant's contributions are nothing other than excerpts from a link (someone else) I do understand it here though!
Are we now to be regaled with repeated links, or perhaps the gang do not read past posts, I know history can be somewhat intolerable.

"You must be missing something, I can see plenty of comments and discussion as well as C&P's"
Really, like this earlier post ?:

Fact check: The Coalition's stance on paid parental leave 'double dipping'
The claim: Prime Minister Tony Abbott says the Coalition announced plans to stop new mothers "double dipping" on paid parental leave before the 2013 election.
There would appear to be a preponderance of C&Ps with very little (if any) additional personal comment contributing to the "debate" where the tag team are concerned, even to the past where a post was just a single URL,

"Mm12 do you have any opinions on the "rorting" mums (including politicians wives)?"
My opinion would first be expressed in "is it legal?", then: "is transfer pricing legal?", followed by populist politics and its adherent's :

Oh dear. I wonder if this is the staffer who last year was sending abusive emails to people.
A federal government staffer working for Malcolm Turnbull has faced court on charges of public indecency.
Adviser Stephen John Ellis, 48, was charged on Thursday with committing an act of indecency and indecent exposure, and also faced two drug charges.
The ACT Magistrates Court heard on Friday he was allegedly in possession of LSD and amphetamines.
The court also heard the alleged act of indecency happened at Canberra Airport in the presence of a man named as Andrew Donaldson.
Ellis was granted bail and the matter was adjourned to June 5.
Bail was conditional on him agreeing to not consume any illicit substances.
