As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed. The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.
This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.
and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says
The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.
Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).
But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.
"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

Re the Basikbasik case, I don't know why we are even looking at him coming into the country
Convicted criminal should be enough to stop entry, wife killer, should not even be considered.
Anyway, since you seem to support those who commit Domestic violence and this nutty decision,
you can have him come and live with you and your kids and in your community.
I'm sure once all your neighbours find out they will be over joyed.
I'm sure you will come up with some weasel words and excuses to justify why you posted the article by Trigg.

JOHN Basikbasik's weapon of choice was, of all things, a bicycle.
We should all be very wary of anyone brandishing a bicycle

"Jobs rose by 37,400 in December, with total jobs created in the last three months of 2014 coming in at 99,000,
the highest outcome in four years."
Now, wasn't his pledge a million jobs in 5 years ?
By my calculations that is 100,000 a year ?
Well Abbott failed again, didn't he ? He only created 99,000
Take into account that not much he could have done about the first 2 - 3 months of being in office,
that is close to 100,000 jobs created in 9 months.

That would mean getting up off your chair in front of the computer for a few days.

Even if 100,000 move there, that won't help Labor
