As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed. The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.
This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.
and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says
The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.
Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).
But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.
"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

No, but now I know you support wife killers, it doesn't matter.
And was it you who make the accusation a few days ago ????????
And as for the jobs argument, FAIL.
Nothing Abbott does will ever satisfy you but that doesn't matter anyway in your case.
Try Victim compensation, that's what you sound like.

what are you talking about?? no-one here supports wife killers, rascism, bigots etc.
that's more of a lib voters thing, cold and cruel
Did anyone here happen to see Sharri Markson on The Project last night? I didn't watch it, but one of my friends was really upset by it, so I had a look at it on-line
what a disgrace for a human being she is. I will ask the Project to never have her on again. I noticed there are lots of complaints about her comments, on the other hand Natasha Stott Despojer is just lovely

Facts:
Govt Budget Propsals to inflict hardship on unemployed jobseekers, especially the unemployed youth.
These proposals haven't passed Senate. They are seen as unfair, by many including Economists.
Fact
550,000 unemployed looking for full time jobs. Not enough jobs for the majority of these people. So why is the Govt targeting them negatively and telling them ' to get a job'.
Where are 350+ young people who get turned down from a casual job going to ALL get a job from?
One thing for sure they won't be voting LNP in the next election.
This is a major issue for many Australians, it is going to affect who people vote for next ekection.
Those in full time work, self employed, retired etc don't support these proposals either.

You don't have to justify posting something but using that Article to attack Abbott means you support the decision
to release a convicted wife basher and killer into the community.
And that wasn't the only think he was convicted of. He has numerous asaault charges against him.
And think of the poor baby he killed as well.
That decision was wrong on so many counts. Many many anti domestic violence advocates are up in arms over it
and being very vocal.
