As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed. The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.
This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.
and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says
The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.
Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).
But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.
"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

The Dassault Rafale with stealth technology would have been a better choice than the F35. Apparently the rep for Dassault received the call on the way from the airport (he’d just arrived in Australia to lobby on behalf on Dassault) telling him the F35 had been bought… as a “paper plane” with 0 consultation process. Talk about backdoor deals!
......and the F 35 “partner” nations are also locked in for a life time of maintenance support with Lockheed Martin, no competitive tendering. Supporters say the contract will be performance based but LM can meet the KPI’s and still charge say $1000 to change a wiper blade because of the exclusivity of the contract. Read an article recently where the US expects to spend approx. US$1T in life time supprt for the F 35 so flick knows how much we’re going to spend. Thanks Howard. Thanks 'blue ties'........dopes

Where is the Governments Moral Compass?
http://www.macrobusiness.com.au/2014/12/where-is-the-governments-moral-compass/
Instead of clawing back loose change from the most vulnerable members of society in a desperate bid to plug the Budget deficit, the Abbott Government should instead attack Australia’s world-beating tax expenditures – such as superannuation, negative gearing, and capital gains tax concessions – which deprive the Budget of many billions of dollars of revenue, make the tax system less progressive, and overwhelming benefit richer, older Australians.
It’s not rocket science.

they have no morals so they have no need of a moral compass, not much need for a compass of any sort - only going in one direction - backwards.

Abbott hasn't had a moral compass since he was 19.
