Two men have been charged after an incident in which a police officer was allegedly spat on and targeted by a moving car.
Police were patrolling in Mount Annan about 11pm yesterday (Thursday 20 November 2014) when they noticed a number of people acting suspiciously in a car park on Waterworth Drive.
When officers stopped to speak with the group, a 20-year-old man allegedly tipped a drink on a male constable.
Police arrested the man, who it’s alleged struggled violently and spat on the same constable’s face.
At this time, another man, aged 18, got into his car. It’s alleged he reversed directly towards police officers struggling with the 20-year-old.
The constable moved to the front of the vehicle and directed the driver to stop.
It’s alleged the car then accelerated towards the officer, hitting his right hand as it drove away.
A short time later, the 18-year-old man returned to the scene on foot; he was also arrested.
Police located the car at a nearby hotel. During a search of the vehicle, officers seized an implement used for smoking cannabis.
The men were taken to Camden Police Station.
The 18-year-old was charged with use weapon to prevent lawful apprehension and possession of implement for drug use.
The 20-year-old was charged with assault police.
Both men are due to appear in Picton Local Court on 13 January 2015.
The constable sustained only minor injury to his hand, and did not require medical treatment.
Should the public feel threatened by these sort of lowlives?
Two women have been charged after a frail 86-year-old pensioner was bashed and robbed in the underground car park of a western Sydney shopping centre in an attack police have described as "cowardly".
The women were arrested hours after Frank Carlino, who uses a walking stick, was robbed of the pension money he had just withdrawn from a bank in Chester Hill about 9.45am on Wednesday.
Police are still searching for a man, thought to be aged in his mid 30s, who is also wanted over the attack.
We need to remember that the police are out there to maintain law and order and protect the vulnerable. It's a dangerous job and many lose their lives in the course of duty.
They deserve our respect.

You have to admit though spitting is a feral thing to do to someone. It's just disgusting imo.

Or get shot. Run down with your own vehicle. Stabbed, kicked, bashed, macheted to death.
D'you think the widows and orphans of police officers killed in the line of duty put a smiley-face on when two police officers knocked on the door with the bad news?

But police officers do not have diseases which might lurk in their mucus?

I thank God for the police, I used to work in a low-life area where some people carried hatchets and knives. My job entailed coming into contact with them. At the same time I acknowledge that some police are bullies but in general they do a dangerous and worthy job.

That does not explain reasonable suspition or probable cause. It's vauge at best, any cop can come after me using that same excuse. I can't do anything without cting suspiciously. Then they go into baiting tacticts, from there, onto making up stuff to make a good honest person look like a bad criminal.

Whats it gonna take to prove thats not true? How many more Kelly Thomas's???? How many more John Williams??? How many more robberys, rapes, and abductions??? how much more abuse must i endure before folks start admitting the truth about cops?
At best, police can only be responders after the fact. All too often when the victim is someone they dislike, they won't even take a report, or worse, arrest the victim, and write it up that the victim was the aggressor.
Most cops like to be seen as big shots, taking credit for there being no crime where there would have been no crime with or without them. The crimes they themselves commit far outweighs any they put a stop to. Personally, i would be better off without police. Anything anyone could do to me, couldn't possibly be any worse that what sheriffs and police have already done.
.
Believe me, the police in Australia do not act like the police in the USA.
I would not live in the USA for any thing......your police force act like cowboys....far too aggressive for my liking.

It's probably a long story, but I'd like to know why you're being targetted for abuse by your cops.
