Did anyone see Today Tonight with Tracey Grimshaw?

Only saw the last few minutes, so don't know what happened, but, I literally did not recognise her till I heard her talk and then it took a little bit to sink in it was Tracey.

She has blonded her hair, which was not styled at all, like left to dry naturally.  Not a skerrick of makeup. 

So, was curious if she explained the reason for her appearance, like she was interiewing flood victims etc and had no time to prepare etc?

Trivial I know, still does not stop me being amazed she went on tellie like a normal person!  Oh, and she was wearing like a beach cover up type top.  So weird...

She had been out all day wading through knee high water in the rain talking to and offering support to flood victims....this was shown during the news segment. Her attire was as it was during the day.

I fail to understand what was weird about it.

well now you have explained the situation I'm guessing at_wicks won't find it weird. Pretty sure in her post she put forward some possible scenarios. It is strange to see someone on tv without makeup etc.

I guess from where she was reporting this evening that it was a given thing as to why her appearance was 'natural'......most of the 9 team looked pretty much drenched and likewise.

If she looked bedraggled, then that was how she was designed to look. No one fronting a camera looks anything other than how they were meant to look. If she had been with the flood victims, it would have taken her 5 minutes to shower, then change clothes, and then however long it takes to cake her face with makeup. No one said she had to paddle in flood water then immediately go on air. An opportunistic attempt to throw her into the midst of tragedy and portray her as some sort of angel. ACA and TT will milk this flooding for all it's worth - tragedies means ratings.

I said I only saw the last few minutes, the OP was to ask why  her appearance was as it was.  But, Twinkles knew that.....

and Twinkles, I gather you are saying that the last part of the segment where she was signing off, she was out in the floods broadcasting at that time, like live.  Well, I was so surprised by her appearance I failed to notice she was not in the studio!!  First I was trying to work out who she was, then I was taking it in.  I admit I always love seeing celebs all natural, makes you realise the power of makeup and a great hairdresser.
