they would have been advised before going they were dealing with a person with mental health issues.
and they also have an option to take a step back and use a taser, but they wouldnt want to give up a chance to be heros and shoot someone

The other guy had prosthetic legs, which became detached when they tried to arrest him.

If he wasn't a thief resisting arrest this wouldn't have happened.

Each of the stories mentioned on this thread are about people who failed to co-operate with police.
Their own dick head behaviour changed their own lives.
