If the dishwasher is meant to be connected to cold water only, when it starts up it will heat the water first.. if the water is already hot then what happens?
If a cold tap outlet is required for it a plumber could do that.. doesn't need kitchen redesign?

The machine will heat it up to the required temperature and continue the cycle. more economicat to just hafe the hot water turned on

Would it matter, can you over heat hot water? I wouldn't think so, poddster must know, he did say elsewhere he was on a higher plane, mr boris does all that kind of thing here or gets one of his tradey mates to do it if its illegal to do himself.
