Do the LNP supporters fear a return of Rudd?

It would be an interesting campaign. If it means a win for Labor then I don't mind at all. 😄 But I would rather see Julia stay.

I'm sure Tony would be shaking in his boots if Rudd returns lol

IS: "If they were certain...no party would need to  campaign would they ?

Do the polls call mobile phones or only land lines ?

If only land lines how many and what types, ages etc of people have them these days"

Why ask here?  there is plenty of information available apropos the science and methodology of conducting public opinion polls.thankyou

.I thought since you keep posting these things (as you did here) you may have been able to share your knowledge.

You fail to grasp that a poll is nothing more than  a "snapshot" of opinions  on the day it was conducted. Everything can change in a week, month, or  by the time the election occurs. In fact if the election had been held the day of/after the opinion poll, the results would be quite similar. I grasp that much thank you .

Thank you.I am prepared to say what I don't know as well as what I do .So we shouldn't worry too much about the posts giving the results perhaps ?

A federal election is nothing more than a opinion poll with the sample being the whole voting nation.

I got an automated call last night. The first I've ever had re a Federal Election.asking me which issue is most important to me and to press the corresponding number on my phone...anyone in the house could have responded.

Lest we forget Bump

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Just adding to Martini's thread lol

DY: "Is that where you get all your 'facts' John?"

I will always  accept a respected/scientific polling organisation such as Galaxy, but  as you have written: "I don't understand how they get these figures."  this source will help you:

http://www.galaxyresearch.com.au/11-13-june-2013/

Or perhaps you should read  some more confirming mundane sources like these:

Courier Mail
The Australian
Nine msn
The Age
All News
The Mercury
ABC

How is that poll today Monman, do you know?

When I was phone polled a couple of weeks ago I was asked specific questions about age, gender, income band etc to ensure, they said, a true sample of voters.

Poll reveals voters don't believe Kevin Rudd has changed since first stint as PM

MOST Australians believe Kevin Rudd is still the chaotic and dysfunctional leader he was accused of being by dissident colleagues who publicly attacked him before his first leadership challenge in February last year.

My guess the honeymoon period won't last long and that since Simon Crean has also quit people will have serious doubts in their minds and as time goes on they will remember what he was like way back when...
