If yes, have you joined the Bathing Bird survey?
All you have to do is record 20 minutes worth of bird watching a few times a week. Good excuse to sit by the window with a cuppa and a timtam
It does haven't to be a flash birdbah, even just a dish of water counts.
You can join here http://root.ala.org.au/bdrs-core/npansw/home.htm .
Perhaps we could have a special birdbath photo thread for the event.

LOL at kitty in the birdbath. Kitty has high hopes.
I always keep a large pan of water out there and the birds love it.

I have 2 out there.
One small "bird bath" type, about 2 inches deep.
Then I have a "pond" type on an angle which I keep filled all the time.
They can drink, bathe, shelter there when it is hot as it sits under a 12 foot Fushia

Yes I do but you've all seen my birdbath before. It doubles as a dogs paddling pool too.

Thanks Pimpy, I registered, bit creepy when you see your own place from above like that.

I've registered my bird bath. I think I might register my stock trough too. The larger birds use it, crows, cockatoos etc. I also have a plastic container under a tree near my front gate. I put it there for the koalas and reptiles but I have seen the galahs and rosellas use it. Actually I won't register the stock trough, it's nearly empty. We need to find and fix the leak before refilling it.
I love your birdbath Bushie. Hubby bought me mine for chrissy one year. It's that fake stone stuff. The paint is lifting from the inside and a piece broke when the neighbours dogs knocked it over recently. I have buckets of water around for the dogs but they still prefer to drink from the birdbath. Maybe they like the taste of bird poop.
I have the usual bunch of resident birds most days but on really hot days I get a sursprising amount of newcomers, parrots mostly.
oh, there's a facebook page too. bathingbirds. It has some great pictures

I registered. Went to sign in and it wasn't accepted. Do I have to wait a while for confirmation, ?
Anyway........All the birdbaths, ponds, etc....and a young currawong finds the drip tray of a plant on the balcony.
